Public privacy overview
Collect less. Explain clearly. Separate research data.
This page is a starter privacy overview and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before launch. It does not replace a jurisdiction-specific privacy policy.
Public website data
The public website should collect only the information needed to operate the site, respond to inquiries, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate site performance.
Inquiry information
Contact and access-request submissions may include a name, work email, organization, stated purpose, and message. Retain these records only as long as needed for review, follow-up, compliance, or documented business purposes.
Research data separation
Participant-level research data, raw EEG files, consent documentation, and sensitive study materials should not be stored in the public website database or accepted through public forms.
Access and deletion
Provide a documented method for people to request access, correction, or deletion when applicable. Confirm the identity of the requester before changing records.
